When you ask: What is your name?

Here is a small series of posts that cover the most asked questions on Google. Most of these questions won’t be answered here. However, I might, for fun, give an answer if I personally know it. It’s mostly to have fun with why people ask so many questions.

Here is a nice question that seems to be about the amusement of virtual assistant users. I would like to say that this question says more than it seems. Why are we amused?

Firstly, knowing our name is one of the first things we learn. This knowledge comes long before we can even speak. A parallel can be drawn with a pet where we try to get its attention when it hears its name. Well, for our part, it’s kind of the same thing.

Secondly, and I’m going to hit the nail on the head here, isn’t this an issue that we quickly try to resolve before a child even exists? Choosing a name is often even a game that young people play when imagining the name of their future offspring.

Lately, we can highlight the fact that names and nicknames and their replacement at our discretion denote the fact that this concept is very important to us.

So, what could be more fun than trying to see if a machine borrows some humanity if it has a name? After all, having a name makes us feel distinct and unique.

See in me a trustworthy person who will not disappoint you. Although, like you, I have to work to make a living, your well being is my main interest and together we will find goals to make you feel fulfilled and proud of you. It has nothing to do with your bank account, your physical appearance or your material assets. Let’s be clear, we are working on fundamental levers for every human, whether you are a homeless person or part of royalty, you have these same levers. I’m Danny (aka CoachDanny). The people I work with are few, but they all have one thing in common. They share a common goal, self-fulfillment and more.
