When you ask: How many ounces in a cup? (Part 2)

Here is a small series of posts that cover the most asked questions on Google. Most of these questions won’t be answered here. However, I might, for fun, give an answer if I personally know it. It’s mostly to have fun with why people ask so many questions.

There was something about this topic that I didn’t mention. I first talked about the simplicity of the metric system compared to the imperial system. The former being, in my opinion, more universal and simple to use, the latter more poetic but difficult to master. Of course, those who already master it will say that it’s simple, give us examples to help us, encourage us not to give up, etc, etc.

The fact is that this system is like a new language with its subtleties and is a relic of the past. It is based on previous means, perhaps even writing, and new units of measurement have been simplified and will obviously take over. China and India, which also have their own measurement systems, will also convert unless their systems are simpler than the decimal system.

The funny thing about this question, which is the eighth most popular, is that although the answer is remarkably simple (it’s 8, by the way), in my opinion, it is a failure of this archaic system that I master and use every day.

The people I work with are few, but they all have one thing in common. They share a common goal, self-fulfillment and more.
