When tags are what they are
Today is the International Beer Day, what can we say about that? Let’s think about this. What can we say or not say about beer? Beer is so internationally known that even writing about this sounds to me useless. Alcohol, in general, is the source of many pleasures but also pain. Far from me the intention to judge alcohol itself but what good can we expect from such substance.
Most supporters of this beverage would sing their joy of having a glass or two of their favourite drink on a happy occasion. The majority of the current civilization was built with alcohol. While many cultures were using it almost daily, others shine by its absence. For sure, it is a subject of diversion amongst different religions, and you can create some social disruption as the former usually consume it in many occasions while the latter is literally against it.
Could we for a minute consider getting rid of this product? Think about this critical sector of the economy that would be affected by a boycott. All the producers, distributors and other market players. It would be a shock in many countries as this accepted drug would have no replacement.
So instead of thinking about what beer inspires us, I prefer to think about what life would be if it were not part of our world. Just so you know, I like having a drink once a while, but like anything we include in our life, I can recognize the fact that it can represent a crutch to the people who may look for one.
