When you ques­tion yourself.

This is the ele­venth in a series of posts reflec­ting on the impor­tance of our actions and what we do to contri­bute to some­thing, and ideal­ly, some­thing grea­ter. These posts should be read in order of publi­ca­tion. Star­ting with num­ber six, for example, would make no sense to the rea­der. Hap­py reading!

So you will have unders­tood that I’m not a fan of over-acti­vi­ty. Nor would I recom­mend or encou­rage it. In my opi­nion, it is one of the loo­pholes that the world offers us and many could fall into the trap. Remem­ber we tal­ked about move­ment? Obvious­ly, an over-exci­ted per­son will pro­duce ener­gy in their sur­roun­dings. Howe­ver, unlike other spe­cies in the ani­mal king­dom, humans have the abi­li­ty to make an almost infi­nite num­ber of move­ments in and on their envi­ron­ment. Herein lies the problem.

How can we encou­rage 8 bil­lion people (we will reach that num­ber in 2022) to behave hyper­ac­ti­ve­ly? This, in my opi­nion, would have the effect of an out of control nuclear reac­tor. So I would say to all those who are in hyper-movement:

  1. Stop
  2. Take a deep breath (admit it, you just took a breath! 😂)
  3. Enjoy the cal­ming effect it has on you, be aware of it
  4. Read the next few posts.

Hyper-move­ment is, in my opi­nion, bor­de­ring on beha­vio­ral disor­der. It is tole­ra­ted, just like other disor­ders. It also has that simi­la­ri­ty where the sub­ject believes that their beha­vior is good for them and for others. Wait, that’s exact­ly what I’m doing! 🤣
