When a label is dif­fi­cult to remove

Some­times, life brings us to a place that does not inter­est us. Let’s see why. In the last Moti­va­tion post <172>, I told you about the path alrea­dy laid out for us, which reas­su­red us by taking away any deci­sions to make. How is this pro­ble­ma­tic? And although limi­ting our iden­ti­ty to our role in the Sys­tem is all too limi­ting. I remind you, eve­ry­thing is a ques­tion of balance. There is nothing wrong with using a pro­fes­sion to define your­self, but we do not limit our­selves to that. As far as I am concer­ned, I am me. People call me Dan­ny. My name is not Dan­ny. Am I more a Dan­ny than I am a Mark or a Mar­tin? I know that I am me. In my wife’s eyes, I am her part­ner. My defi­ni­tion conti­nues with her defi­ni­tion of me. Although she makes up a part of the real me, my wife doesn’t total­ly know a part of me, and I as well do not know a part of her. But is that what it’s all about?
