When we are what we eat.
Listened while writing this post, try while reading it :o)
This post is the ninth in a series reflecting on the meaning of life and the importance of this question. These posts should be read in the order they are published as, starting at the 6th for example, dear reader, will mean the whole thing makes no sense. Happy reading!
Following the desire which lead to our creation, our parents were the first to help physically build us up. And let’s not forget that physicality also includes the building of the spirit, conceptually speaking of course, not mystically!
It is our mother, who is the first to provide us with the primordial materials for growth. But this is not all, our genetic baggage also plays a role in knowing what we need in order to develop. All this begins way before our conception. Some women feel a strong pull towards healthy eating really early on. Constantly thinking about how well we are performing however, can take away from the plaisirs of life. If you recall, as a species we’re inclined towards laziness and ease.
If a mother is in good health and is eating well ie. a balanced and varied diet, we can assume that her body will reserve enough quality nutrients for her baby. If, on the other hand, she consumes toxins such as alcohol, drugs or tobacco, whether consciously or otherwise, it is equally possible that her body will stock these in reserve.
This is why I think it is very easy to give in to psychosis when chasing perfection. Nevertheless there are certain factors, indeed assets that we possess, that we should not neglect.
Until next time…
