When you ask yourself: What is the meaning of life?
Here is a little series of posts which cover the most Googled questions on the internet. Most of these questions I will not be able to answer here, although I can offer a response if I happen to have one. The main idea of this series is to have a bit of fun discussing why people ask these questions so often.
OH MY GOD
This is the 99th question listed. Is it possible? Is this a sign? I can’t believe my eyes. This is THE question that we will all ask ourselves eventually. You understand what’s happening here, right? A new series of posts is born! 🎈🥳🎈
Let’s begin by proffering the argument that this question is essential to life. (Oh,I feel like a kid at Christmas!) 😁
Not asking yourself this question will inevitably lead to depression. It’s in-ev-it-able! Anyone with a brain which they aim to continuously improve and maintain will eventually consider this question. The lack of sense to our lives would cause us to feel sad, anxious, worthless and apathetic otherwise. Physical consequences would then follow with sleep troubles, severe fatigue and eating disorders. A loss of social skills would encourage us to withdraw into ourselves, and exacerbate indecision, problems with memory and concentration, rumination and eventually lead to dark thoughts.
The more we avoid seriously posing this question to ourselves, the more vulnerable we become to the suggestions of others. This is why the best therapists and caregivers are those who accompany and support you, without leading you down any particular route. They should encourage you to find your own way. This is extremely important.
