When the solution is found where we would least expect.

Listened while writing this post, try while reading it :o)

This post is the nineteenth in a series which looks at the evolution of what is left of what we call democracy in my nation. These posts are best read in the order they were published. Starting at the 6th post in the series, for example, will mean that nothing makes sense to you, dear reader. Happy reading!

Now we are nearing the end of our whistle stop tour of the political landscape, I will begin to wrap-up. Of course, as with most of my series, there is no huge conclusion here, but even so we can take from this a few solutions with which we can endeavour to patch up the gaps where humanity is lacking. Firstly, we have to accept that although absolute power may be the quickest path to achieving a goal, it is also the most risky and divisive.

To illustrate what I mean when I speak of where we are lacking as humans, let’s take as an example, an article by Marc Poirier in which he clearly outlines how the most recent politicians and political organisations simply do exactly as they please, and how their thirst for power completely influences the choice of preferred electoral system. The people we place in power are a direct reflection of our society. Individualists, hungry for wealth and power,  inclined towards making extravagant promises based upon populists concepts, and holding political analysis in precedence over all other aspects of the state.

One solution would be to withdraw, or rather decrease the ease with which a person can obtain absolute power. An electoral reform could protect us from the scourge of yesteryear.

More to come…

Coach Danny

See in me a trustworthy person who will not disappoint you. Although, like you, I have to work to make a living, your well being is my main interest and together we will find goals to make you feel fulfilled and proud of you. It has nothing to do with your bank account, your physical appearance or your material assets. Let’s be clear, we are working on fundamental levers for every human, whether you are a homeless person or part of royalty, you have these same levers. I’m Danny (aka CoachDanny). The people I work with are few, but they all have one thing in common. They share a common goal, self-fulfillment and more.
