When you ask: How to screenshot on Mac.
Here is a small series of posts that cover the most asked questions on Google. Most of these questions won’t be answered here. However, I might, for fun, give an answer if I personally know it. It’s mostly to have fun with why people ask so many questions.
Interesting that the champion company of ergonomics has a question in eighteenth place of the most asked questions. 😆 On PCs, there is a button on the keyboard called “Print Screen”. This key seems to have appeared with the M model of IBM keyboards. The key did and still does exactly the same thing. Although “print” is absolutely the wrong term to use, it can be said to refer to the concept of printing.
In fact, we can say that it is a capture, a screengrab, a copy would even be better. Finally, since its invention, this key copies into memory what is in the video memory intended for the screen display. It is then possible to recover this copy later for any use.
This means that this simple feature has not been part of Apple’s main target. Is this a problem? If this feature represents more than 300,000 requests per month, according to my source, I would say that it is a problem for this brand that prides itself on having the most ergonomic tools. Can we make our verdict on this simple feature? Of course not. It’s just a small loss on a pretty good winning streak 😉
