When you ask: Can I run it?
Here is a small series of posts that cover the most asked questions on Google. Most of these questions won’t be answered here. However, I might, for fun, give an answer if I personally know it. It’s mostly to have fun with why people ask so many questions.
We’re definitely running low on imagination. Or are we? In the first post on this subject, the wording was in the second person singular, that is, using the pronoun “you”. Now, we’re using the pronoun “I”. It’s amazing how the devil is in the details. Take a human talking to another human. This would go relatively unnoticed. I mean, if two people speak the same language, although there are many, if not a multitude, of ways to answer a question, the other person’s formulation and interpretation will be relatively quick and satisfactory.
In the case of talking to a machine, I imagine the meaning of words must be important? I’m not an expert in artificial intelligence, but I am inclined to believe that the challenge for scientists in this field is to replicate this autonomy of thought that is specific to us. But let’s imagine that this autonomy is possible by removing ALL the biases that we have. OMG, what kind of conversation or mind would that bring about? Would it be a god or a total social misfit? Let’s save that for another time.
