When we finish a month.
It’s the last day of March, officially 1 year (ish) that we’ve been in a pandemic, we’ve played our cards, there’s no turning back now. 😉
All jokes aside, 1 year of asking a lot of questions and waltzing between the answers. 1 year of pure novelty to leave us in suspense. For me, this year can be summarized in different phases.
- The surprise, the shock, the amazement. News that reminds us of September 11, 2001 or the earthquake of March 11, 2011. For the record, I was on a Skype call with my colleague Kaori when the earthquake happened.
- A certain form of disbelief that led to a thirst for information on the subject. I plunged into the subject head first and I can confirm that it was not very pleasant. A lot of academic texts and, above all, little relevant information.
- Frustration. Against the world, especially against my government, which today puts petty politics before transparency. The infantilization of the population will always be, for me, an obstacle to progress. Talk to Napoleon Bonaparte.
I am still frustrated that this year has opened my eyes to many of the social deficiencies of our time that I didn’t necessarily want to see.
