When we continue our journey.
So that’s when I chose to give up those social networks. At least those intended for the general public. I realized that I’m not the customer for these platforms and that as well as doing all the work, the platform wasn’t bringing me any value. But in order to fully understand the situation, here are two scenarios that support my decision.
- You are in a store and change your mind about a product you just bought for a product that is a few per cent cheaper, say 5%. This percentage, say, represents $5. You know that to exchange the product, there is no waiting time, but if you want to get that $5, you have to wait between 15 and 60 minutes (maybe more, but not less). The same waiting time is required for a full refund. What would you do?
- You know that a well-known gas station offers fuel a few per cent cheaper, say 2%, than the competition and that this represents $0.05 per liter of gas. Your vehicle holds a maximum of 50L of fuel so a full tank will take you an average of 45L maximum. This gas station is 15 km away and requires a detour every time, not being on a route you would normally take. There is another gas station 100m from your home. What would you do?
