When you look for an opening.
I listened to this while writing this post, try it while you read :o)
This is the fifth in a series of posts reflecting on the importance of our actions and what we do to contribute to something, and ideally, something greater. These posts should be read in order of publication. Starting with number six, for example, would make no sense to the reader. Happy reading!
Speaking of circularity, this is a situation that is going around in circles. The table is slowly starting to be set for our main topic. A routine that puts us to sleep, the same routine that is more than offered to us on a silver platter, everything seems to indicate that we have been unconsciously walking in its direction since childhood. A routine which, out of conformity, is necessary more often than not and whose gentle sedative puts our senses and mind to sleep. To top it all off, a routine that interferes with the smallest gaps in our lives and, as if that weren’t enough, self-regulates and strengthens itself through all of us.
So, how do you get out of it? How do you get out of a habit that is the basis of all the habits we develop throughout our lives? This habit that, while trying to break it, forces us to go against our own individual nature, and therefore against that of others as well. Because conformism leads to the expectation of conformism. What is the reason for this? Because whoever sacrifices out of conformism will expect nothing less from others than the same sacrifices, for the same reason, which becomes conformism. The circle of life my friends, the circle of life.
To be continued…
