When you do your best.
I listened to this while writing this post, try it while you read :o)
This is the thirty-first in a series of posts reflecting on our willingness to remember and the quality of that knowledge. These posts should be read in order of publication. Starting with number six, for example, would make no sense to the reader. Happy reading!
I haven’t finished with heartbeats! After all, I have all the time in the world, I’m still 6 weeks behind my usual pace! The important thing is that I’m making up for lost time! So what can we say about a heartbeat? First of all, I’ve read that it is not the same depending on age and maybe even gender. The important thing is to monitor it regularly because your heart rate is your own and it is against yourself that you must first compare yourself.
So this vital sign is quite simple to capture, isn’t it? Here’s what we need to achieve our goal. Firstly, let’s give ourselves some parameters for reaching our goal. On this point, I’m going to use Pareto’s principle, which is relatively far from his reference work by the way, but still. Do our books cover 80% of the knowledge of a given subject? If so, we could move on to the next subject. On the other hand, we could give ourselves another objective, but it is important to know that the more we increase the level of “perfection”, the more the time we need to invest will tend to follow exponential growth. In other words, perfection is not a realistic target, otherwise, a single topic would take us forever!
