When you look for a new concept.
I listened to this while writing this post, try it while you read :o)
This is the twenty-ninth in a series of posts reflecting on our willingness to remember and the quality of that knowledge. These posts should be read in order of publication. Starting with number six, for example, would make no sense to the reader. Happy reading!
A library of knowledge. Sounds pretty good. It’s pretty descriptive of our goal. But there’s one important element missing. We were saying that knowledge and especially techniques and technologies could be strongly influenced by the region of the world we are in. We could therefore add to this the notion of region. In my case, it would be as follows: the Canadian Library of Knowledge. It is not here to exclude other regions of the world but rather to focus my research and learning in my personal context. It is useless for me to seek knowledge in another part of the world. In the event that I want the knowledge to be applicable in my region given the fact that I cannot travel long distances, but rather use it for local survival, it is inevitable to make this clarification.
It is therefore with this in mind that I was going to build up my knowledge reserves and concentrate my learning. Another person wishing to do the same with their region could start by using my knowledge and modify its content so that it would be fully applicable in its geographical context.
So, let’s go back to the first topic, being alive.
To be continued…
