When you get back on track.
I listened to this while writing this post, try it while you read :o)
This is the tenth in a series of posts reflecting on our willingness to remember and the quality of that knowledge. These posts should be read in order of publication. Starting with number six, for example, would make no sense to the reader. Happy reading!
How about we keep up the momentum on our heritage? So we were saying that technology has probably slowly made its way into human life as the need arose. A need, a tool. That must have been the rule at that time, and that seems to be the rule today.
The difference is that we are aware, even aware of more needs, even if these needs are becoming more and more precise. You could imagine that the trunk of a tree is life itself and that the first branches are the basic needs to maintain this life. The more we advance through the branches, the more each element adapts and personalizes itself to its own context. The trunk doesn’t care about the bypassing of a leaf or an object that shares its space in height, it lets its extremities care about that and find the best solution for the context.
In this context, we would talk about natural selection, but in ours as well. The most ingenious, with or without merit, are naturally those who will have a better chance of survival. For themselves, and for their descendants as well.
