When you get close to your goal.
I listened to this while writing this post, try it while you read :o)
This post is the fifth in a series of posts about a reflection on our ability to socially evolve. These posts should be read in the order of their publication. For example, starting with the 6th would make no sense to the reader. Happy reading!
Finally, we’re getting closer to the answer to our first question, what is the common core that connects all forms of education? It is the need to develop independence. Regardless of the discipline in question, the education of this discipline is the search for independence. If we forget all the possible academic subjects and focus on the knowledge to which a child is subjected, it is clear that the independence for life and the satisfaction of basic human needs are at the source of this whole adventure.
The independence to move, to eat, to find somewhere to live, to dress, and so on. The independence to develop a sense of security in life and to develop a sense of belonging throughout life, at school, at work or in society in general. This is the common axis of all education.
This common core has the concept of seeking efficiency, but what is most impressive, in my opinion, is that education seeks to improve itself. How do you make people independent in education? Whether it’s making teachers more efficient or making people self-taught. It’s all about looking further, looking at the bigger picture.
