When we digress.
I listened to this while writing this post, try it while you read :o)
I’d like to go back to my little list of books. I mentioned that I would introduce you to two other books. Having not yet kept my promise, I’m doing it now. The second book I’ve delved into is Edgar Henry Schein, Organizational Culture and Leadership. What a wonderful book. It deals with the concept that we call culture. Schein presents, in his own way, the link he sees between the culture of a group and the role that leadership has in the creation and evolution of this culture.

This is very exciting. This book allowed me to modify my definition of culture through the examples that Schein offered and by comparing them with my own experiences. Obviously, it is merely a brick in the construction of my own knowledge of the field, but Schein managed to turn what may seem abstract to the majority of us into something tangible, for those who go to the trouble of reading it.
Each chapter has a summary as well as a conclusion that could act as a proposal, although to list them, in the way that Thompson does, would have simplified the consultation of the work in the future. In a future post, I will tell you about the second book that I got hold of after reading Hafsi and Demers’ book.
