When you take the time to read.
I listened to this while writing this post, try it while you read :o)
As the news is relatively chaotic these days, I’m going to start writing about books that are close to my heart and that feed my daily thoughts through their influence. Let’s get going. The first book I’d like to talk about is Comprendre et mesurer la capacité de changement des organisations (Understanding and Measuring the Capacity for Change in Organisations) by Taïeb Hafsi and Christiane Demers.
I got my hands on this book by pure chance. I am interested in change management in humans, nothing surprising here and I am always looking for books on the subject. One day, I discovered a small used bookstore in my neighbourhood. What a good idea to give a second life, or even a third or more, to a book.
So I visited this bookstore and bought the 6 or 7 books on the subject that were on the shelf. Amongst these books was Hafsi and Demers’ book. This book was a double revelation. At first, it made me realise that there are literally treasures in the used book market. Then it made me realise that I had had enough of being taught by others and that from this moment on, I was going to do my own research.

To be continued…
