When we have to give ourselves time.
I listened to this while writing this post, try it while you read :o)
So? No more time? Let’s see. I would say that despite all the constraints mentioned in yesterday’s post, I could list so many more and that wouldn’t even be a fraction of the complete list. It then becomes difficult to find time.
I have long sought to understand what represented a time of “value” in the eyes of others and our own. In the case of a personal activity for example, is spending two hours in front of a video game or two hours at the gym activities of equal nobility? Is spending two hours renovating a bathroom worth more than two hours building a piece of furniture?
There are several answers to these questions, but one point remains common to all. What is the usefulness of the activity?
Writing this post could be a waste of time for many, but for me, directly, it brings me psychological value. It develops my ability to give free rein to my mind and to extract the words which correspond to the ideas that go through it. Gaming could be beneficial before preparing a meal following this reflection.
What about you? What activity is worth doing?
