When everything comes to an end…or maybe not.
I listened to this while writing this post, try it while you read :o)
This is the story of a man who was like everyone, or almost. According to Wikipedia, Mr Floyd lived a relatively “normal” life and had, like everyone else, activities outside of work. A very ordinary life considering that we all have passions. For Mr Floyd, it was basketball, it was rap. Music, lyrics. Obviously, to get to know him better, we could look at the messages within his compositions. Unfortunately, I haven’t had a chance to look them up yet.
Like many others, Mr Floyd had to face difficult times following the 2008 financial crisis because in 2009, according to Wikipedia, he was sentenced to five years in prison for armed robbery. A mistake that, according to my research, would have cost him roughly an equivalent sentence in Canada. (Impossible to be sure, because two judges can give two different judgments.)
This is how, after barely resuming his life and, like many others, was dismissed from his job during the Covid crisis, and the rest you already know, or rather, the investigation will reveal it to us.
I wanted to learn about the life of this man whose death influenced many people for various reasons. In my opinion, many people should do the same, because the tag about his funeral will have interested a little fewer people than that of his memorial.
Let’s celebrate life instead of death.
