When there must be justice for all.
I listened to this while writing this post, try it while you read :o)
I’ll confess, I’ve already got angry and broken something in my frustration. Let me tell you about it. It happened when I least expected it. Something unfortunate happened and I felt the anger rise within me. I thought it was unfair that this happened to me.
I began by casting the blame elsewhere, on the person who, in my opinion, seemed to be the cause of my misfortune. Since this person was too far away for me to tell them what I was thinking, I had to externalise my anger, and yelling out some words was not enough, so I did something irreparable. I broke something.
At the time, I was satisfied and the damage seemed to correspond quite well to what I was feeling, but it was just a few seconds later when I realised the sad truth. It had sadly been useless. More so, it had caused me more damage. Damage to my property, but most of all, damage to my self-esteem. I was better than that.
It is from this one and only experience of destruction that I promised myself that I would never destroy anything again. I hope that these few words will be good advice for future protesters of any cause.
