When you have to get back into a routine
I listened to this while writing this post, try it while you read :o)
This post is the sixth of a series of ten posts about certain aspects of our lives during the COVID-19 crisis. These posts must be read in order, starting with the 6th post would make absolutely no sense to the reader. Enjoy reading and above all, enjoy reflecting.
In times of crisis, the worst mistake would be to base your decisions on what you would consider to be a final position. You must always consider the options. On a very long road in a perfectly straight line, on a beautiful summer’s day, with no wind, with no obstacles, you can afford to enjoy life and live a little. Without ever completely taking your eyes off the road, you can have a discussion with your passengers and let your mind drift away. In thick fog on an unknown road, you need all your attention to balance anticipation and reaction.
So once you have the information about the crisis, you finally begin your journey. Let’s be clear, the personas identified above are all within reach. No one is always sceptical, scientific or passive. We choose whether or not to be totally or partially one of these personas. We change our style all the time based on our introspection and the new information we receive. At some point, we decide that there is enough information to take action or not. It is right at this moment that we experience a certain shock.
To be continued tomorrow…
