When everything is hanging by a thread
I listened to this while writing this post, try it while you read :o)
What is there to do when adult humans stop using their reason? Let’s think about that for a moment. Well, I have to admit that my faith in human beings is taking a turn for the worse these days. Individual behaviours (even if there is a family nucleus involved, let’s use that word anyway) have taken people’s minds by storm these days. These actions are in direct line with our hierarchy of basic needs.
Currently, people, whether they are educated or not, are becoming aware of the fragility of their assets. In regression, they need to pause their plan of self-realisation, self-esteem and even belonging to the group. The social pact is just an accessory, now that their security and even their physiological needs are not able to stop this disintegration of their reality.
The mind is so powerful that to ensure their survival, their judgment concludes that they must act. With the time required to think having been, according to them, sufficient and adequate, the conclusions, which we cannot define hastily enough, are considered satisfactory and definitive. This is how a chain reaction effect begins. Each moment adds new information, confirming to the most lost and frightened minds the justification of an additional pressure to act.
This is how we, wise people of experience and serene by nature, observe this chaotic stampede in the greatest perplexity, witnesses of the failure of reason on primitive urges.
