When you still need a break
I listened to this while writing this post, try it while you read :o)
Welcome, my dear readers, in these dark times. Let’s dwell on this for a moment. Sit comfortably in your homes and enjoy the time spent reading and thinking. I invite you to take the time to think about this madness that surrounds us, this fear that torments our sensitive spirits. In a few days, I will leave the turbulence of urban life for the great wilderness of Quebec winter. I’m going into the woods for four days, away from the torments of digital life.
What I’m sure of is that people will continue to die in the world. I also know that the stock market will continue to plummet. Although I suffer from these two imminent realities, and I have as much empathy as I can offer to the collateral victims of these tragedies, I must admit that the next few months will be very exciting for a passionate sociologist. We will learn what our new reactions will be to the international crisis and offer future generations a lot of information in order to manage the next crisis in a more humane way.
