When you have to stand up
It is not so easy to do that when we carry the weight on our shoulders. Let’s have a look at what I mean by that. Bullying is a difficult thing to overcome. It is rare to see a person standing up to a bully. Not always, but often, the attacker chooses their victim by making sure they don’t pick someone too tough. It’s at that moment where you come into play.
If you witness bullying, after confirming it with another person, or even the person concerned, because yes, good Samaritans come to the weak and defenceless’ rescue without that being the case. We can’t blame them, after all, but it can have consequences, which we’ll talk about later. So what I was saying is that once we have confirmed the situation, we must act without further delay, in cooperation with the victim, of course. The idea is not to necessarily defend, but in my opinion, to help the victim become stronger, while also correcting the bully’s behaviour, that goes without saying.
As for false situations, we have to be careful not to turn a person into a wolf without that being the case, people can seek revenge a little too quickly. But that doesn’t mean you have to judge things for yourself, confirm it with another witness.
