When we search for the truth
Trust and truth, are they linked? Let’s have a look. For me, the two are profoundly linked, but for others, they are not. In my case, I believe that trusting life is fundamentally based on a realistic vision of life. For example, I trust my car to get me to my destination. This confidence is based on my perception that this means of transport is in good condition and that it will not fail me along the way.
If I know that my car has a problem, that a mechanical part is weak and that it could break at any time, my confidence is transferred to my ability to assess a risk and make a decision about that risk. If the mechanical part is missing, I will say that I have underestimated the risk, but if not, I will say that I have assessed the risk well. All this will have nothing to do with luck. Lucky people make their own luck. A person who considers themselves lucky will never be able to show it by repeating their “luck” on demand. On the other hand, a knowledgeable person will be able to show that checking their spare tyre is actually more rewarding.
