When you stay on theme
Yesterday, a Canadian organisation was taking the Twittersphere by storm, and today, it’s a British one. Let’s see which one. In this case, we are talking about a non-profit organisation. I’ve had some trouble figuring out the mission of this organisation. It may be cultural, but I haven’t heard that kind of charity work on my side of the Atlantic. Here is a short excerpt from the website: “Every day across the UK thousands of young people help to look after someone in their family, or a friend, who is ill, disabled or misuses drugs or alcohol.“
This seems rather intense to me, however. At what age do we consider ourselves as “young people”? And regarding substance misuse, it’s pretty incredible that a young person is looking after a drug addict in their family? Here, we have a university degree on the subject. I really need some clarification on this situation!
I will leave my conclusion at that until I find more information on this: How do we resolve this problem? What do you think?
