When you look for ideas
When you look for ideas, ideas find you! Think about it. I’m referring back to Wednesday’s post about my one-year blog anniversary. Obviously, from a humanitarian point of view, I don’t think I’ve advanced science, but in my own individual case, I believe I have maintained a certain dexterity and open-mindedness.
First, exploring the internet in search of subjects that were more gripping than others allowed me to get to know us better, or at least, to get to know some of our neighbours better. I can see that even though the topics of interest to internet users are far from enlightening, they are usually filled with passion and emotion that make us complex beings.
That is how I believe that continuing on this path can only contribute slightly to what is called critical thinking, knowing very well that I am occasionally mistaken and this discipline is a constant effort every moment, for the first disruptive element is none other than our own mind, and that, my friends, is very difficult to accept and may seem, to some, unattainable. I will end with this famous excerpt inspired by the father of philosophy: “I seem, then, in just this little thing to be wiser than this man at any rate, that what I do not know I do not think I know either.”
