When a compass is most welcome
Yesterday, I was talking about the compass that is the holiday season. Let’s think about that for a moment. Let’s look at an example to see how all of this goes hand in hand. From the day you are born until the day you become independent, you limit yourself to base camp. You observe, experiment without going very far, always keeping your base camp within your sights.
One day, you feel that your insecurity is dissipating, making way for confidence in yourself and the future. You leave. Leaving is linked to your need for fulfilment. You experience personality traits, ideologies and even some beliefs. People who see you leave and who lose sight of you for a certain period of time become anxious. They are afraid of losing you. After all, is there anything easier than getting lost in the woods?
However, you are prepared. You know how to get your bearings. These bearings are our annual reunion. These moments allow us to take a step back and confirm whether the path we have taken is the right path for us. But behind all this hides a paradox.
To be continued…
