When the world doesn’t care
I am relieved to see that the masses are not interested in corruption. Let’s see why. First of all, thank you all for this disinterest which, despite my obvious sarcasm, keeps the foundations of my knowledge of human behaviour in check.
Once again, frivolity outweighs seriousness by putting other topics in the limelight, such as the Golden Globes, the announcement of a new Ghostbusters film (which believe you me, I am a fan of), a movement to ban Twitter accounts that promote K-POP “stars”, and the impeachment measures of President Trump (sorry, but I find this process seriously suspicious).
So it is important to understand that people aren’t so interested in corruption. Or is this really the case? In many cases, corruption goes alongside violence. Whether it is physical or verbal, all that remains is to expect that people who are victims of it may have a lot to lose in condemning it loud and clear. So with my modest voice, I will support the victims of these crimes.
Corruption, whether in material goods or in spirits, has no place in a civilised and modern world. So be it.
