When a tag inspires us
If all women were men? Let’s focus on that. Firstly, understand my problem with this tag. What is the point of even putting pen to paper over this subject? Once again, like several daily tags that I mistakenly try to avoid crossing paths with, I must say that this one caught my eye. Not in its first form, but in its second form. Let’s explain that.
So, why on earth would we want such a thing? Why bother to still create a dialogue, or in several cases, monologue (obviously, this is my case), for a subject that only highlights our differences? Are they that important? Are we heading towards a world where every difference will be worthy of being declared, at least once, to every other human being on earth? For let me tell you, if every human being is to ensure that their differences are known and accepted by all, say goodbye to the modern world. In fact, simply goodbye.
In my opinion, the solution, if there even is a problem, lies not in others’ acceptance of our differences, but rather in strong self-acceptance. Such a solid acceptance that it creates the perfect foundations to the ideal self-confidence, but interchangeable, allowing us to modify it over time, according to our wishes. Freedom, does it mean anything to you?
