When basic needs come back
After reading this tag, I’m finding it difficult to come up with an idea about it. Let’s see why. On the Quebec Government’s website, it is written in bold: “Nobody chooses to be homeless.” And in a report by a speciality French-language channel, we find the testimonies of several people who made the choice to live on the street. Therefore, it is perhaps not as clear as our good old government claims it is.
Of course, from an economic perspective, every adult citizen should contribute to the common good. The common good being primarily for an economic purpose. It is true that the definition of a government is primarily at a legislative level, but what is the point of having these laws in place and contributing to them if not at least for personal interest of some kind?
So, for some people, choosing to live on the street, away from what I call the System, seems like a plausible option to me. After all, the human body’s survival techniques are rather primitive, and we are here to talk about the proof. While individual property comes with its constraints, it is possible to think that some people, though probably very few, wish to attain a level of total freedom. It’s a choice like any other.
