When we have to rethink our habits
I know it’s boring to hear the same thing all the time, but let me tell you a story. Let’s see. Once upon a time, there was a person who had two children. That person was absolutely normal. They had a normal physique, normal lifestyle habits and normal expectations of life, their future and their children’s future. One day, this person asked themselves the question: “If I had to change something in my life, would that be abnormal?”
In the context of my story, the adjective “normal” fits perfectly with the proper definition of the word, that is, “Conforming to an average considered a standard which is not extraordinary. Consistent with the nature of a being, of a thing, of the organisation of something. Consistent with the habitual, which isn’t surprising in one way or the other. Conforming with what we think is fair and just. Predictable, logical, understandable.” We could even say that all of this is ordinary, that is, “Conforming to the established, normal, usual order; habitual. That does not exceed the common level; commonplace, nondescript, mediocre.”
Finally, this person may, for the future of their children, have to change their “normal” habits and resist their desires to ensure that they are not a burden on their relatives and fellow citizens.
