When practice makes perfect
Yesterday, I was thinking about incorporating change into our lives. Let’s look at the result of this. Repeating a new task or way of doing something is difficult to achieve but straightforward. Incorporating change into our routine is a well-known formula, but to do so requires some preparation. First of all, your life is your own. It is up to your own judgment to determine how to organise your time and what you do with it.
In previous posts, we have talked at length about time, and you will understand that it can be a scarce resource. This is exactly why we must not take the decision to change our schedule lightly. In many cases, as the theory of change management indicates, everything plays out in the early stages. And so, we need to plan to permanently optimise certain tasks or remove them completely. The former requires more effort in the short and medium term, but enforcing the latter, which may seem easy, will act as a boomerang and it will come back to hit you when you least expect it. Removing tasks leaves a gap that must also be managed, because nature is well and truly unable to stand emptiness.
