When two tags are contradictory
Save the Amazon rainforest or save Spiderman? That’s the question. How to choose? It would seem that considering both rescue operations directly and indirectly, they seem illogical. But are they really? Firstly, we have quite a down-to-earth position. Although I am of deterministic fatalism, that is to say that our choices will have an impact on our immediate personal future, but on a larger scale, this pattern in action completely escapes us. Therefore, I can only understand that some people want to escape into frivolities such as rescuing a superhero from the hands of a capitalist corporation (XD) rather than taking concrete action such as protesting in Sweden to save the trees in the rainforest in Brazil.
My first thought would be, which of the two groups is living more so in a mirage of change? In my opinion, the connection between these people is the same motivation to achieve any goal, as well as finding a way to combat the gloom and pressure of a world where we feel, and quite rightly, like we must suffer reality rather than control it. Now, which team will you choose?
