When a tag is more than a tag

Today is the self-care day. Let’s see what it means. Self-care is not just about your body; it is also about your mind. Solo­Mo­ti­va­tion is all about that. Kee­ping your mind heal­thy is, in my opi­nion, more impor­tant than your body. Your body is yours. It can help you fee­ling good, moving you around, get­ting you where you want to go. Howe­ver, this is all phy­si­cal actions that are deci­ded by your mind. In my opi­nion and Adam Smith’s share the same in his theo­ry of moral sen­ti­ments, losing mind must be the worst situa­tion a human can expect. Without your mind, you can’t decide any­thing. You may have a heal­thy body, but you won’t be able to think about it.

Eating vege­tables, doing exer­cise, having heal­thy and clean life hygiene is for sure some­thing I encou­rage. But I will never pro­mote it as much as taking care of your brain. What does it mean to have and heal­thy brain? It means rea­ding books, lear­ning, lis­te­ning to others. It also means having a cri­ti­cal mind and not accep­ting de fac­to eve­ry new idea like if it was God saying.

So take some time today and think about how are you taking care of your mind. It has so much more impact on socie­ty than your body. If you want to contri­bute as part of our civi­li­za­tion, having a beau­ti­ful and strong body can be some­thing plea­sant for the eyes, but it will never rank com­pa­red to having a smart brain, dis­co­ve­ring new ways to doing things, new tech­no­lo­gies and eve­ry­thing that sur­rounds us at this very moment.
