When a tag is more than a tag
Today is the self-care day. Let’s see what it means. Self-care is not just about your body; it is also about your mind. SoloMotivation is all about that. Keeping your mind healthy is, in my opinion, more important than your body. Your body is yours. It can help you feeling good, moving you around, getting you where you want to go. However, this is all physical actions that are decided by your mind. In my opinion and Adam Smith’s share the same in his theory of moral sentiments, losing mind must be the worst situation a human can expect. Without your mind, you can’t decide anything. You may have a healthy body, but you won’t be able to think about it.
Eating vegetables, doing exercise, having healthy and clean life hygiene is for sure something I encourage. But I will never promote it as much as taking care of your brain. What does it mean to have and healthy brain? It means reading books, learning, listening to others. It also means having a critical mind and not accepting de facto every new idea like if it was God saying.
So take some time today and think about how are you taking care of your mind. It has so much more impact on society than your body. If you want to contribute as part of our civilization, having a beautiful and strong body can be something pleasant for the eyes, but it will never rank compared to having a smart brain, discovering new ways to doing things, new technologies and everything that surrounds us at this very moment.
