When a culture of extrinsic motivation is installed
What if a culture of extrinsic motivation is installed? What could you do to change it? Let’s jump into this. The easiest thing you can do is evaluate yourself. Are you motivated by the look of others, their opinion, the money they could give you as a reward of something you did or said? Motivators are everywhere. There are fast food motivators like in every part of life, and there is some focus on permanent changes. Long life changes are slow to process, and as a matter of fact, they are less popular. People want hacks, cheats and other shortcuts.
Why do people want that? Because they wish results during their lifetime. Who could criticize them? I understand that, but what is the cost of an instantaneous life? We need to grow things, transform them, consume them and harmoniously dispose of our waste.
Instantaneity could be about consumption, but making this choice means that you must instantaneously process your wastes as well. There is no negotiation there. Today is the world environment day. It means that we should take a moment and look at our purchasing habit and choose at least one thing we will not purchase anymore because of its waste-production weak ratio.
