Coaching or doing, there is the question
Yesterday I talked to you about this question, should you teach or should you do? Let’s dig in a bit more. In my coaching activities, I try pushing people beyond their limit. I try getting them beyond what human did already achieve. In my doer activities, I do things. Unfortunately, I got to a dead end. My doer activities hit a wall. I end up facing the tough reality that my talent was about orchestrating people doing great things.
I always was a supporter. I like to support people, and I’m good at it. Getting things they need so they can realize great things. I’m not the star of the show, they are. Unfortunately, being a star requires to listen to your director and today, it’s harder than ever to get this. People want to do things on their own. Being the only star, getting all the credit and being adored, here are the goals they set. Unfortunately, it can’t happen in solo.
You need a supporting team to get you there. And the supporting organization will not steal the show; you will still be the star of the show.
To be continued tomorrow
